Panama City firefighters train for high-rise emergencies with tower crane

PANAMA CITY — Panama City Fire Department took its rescue efforts to a new level Wednesday.

In a partnership with Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center and J.E. Dunn Construction, the PCFD's 16-member Light Technical Rescue Team conducted a simulation at the hospital, which involved the rescue of a patient who had a medical emergency atop a tower crane at 140 feet in the air.
