Course Information

According to OSHA, you must have the proper training and skills to work in proximity to electrical lines and hardware. It is imperative for people working around energized, or potentially energized, hardware to understand the hazards and risks involved. They must be able to identify the systems voltage and safe working procedures when operating within 10ft of energized conductors.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Due to the hazards posed by energized or potentially energized electrical hardware, understanding safe operation of an electrical system and its components, and being able to identify the systems maximum nominal voltage, and safe work procedures when working in proximity are key skills required by any tradesperson working closer then 10ft to energized conductors of 50 kV or less.

The program meets the ANSI/ASSE Z490.1, as well as ANSI Z133, OSHA 1910.331 and 1910.269.

You must show proof of electrical hazard training, aerial rescue and first aid/cpr before an employer can certify workers as line clearance qualified arborist.
