The Knot Tying and Tree Worker Basics safety class provides essential knowledge for tree care professionals, focusing on critical knots and foundational tree care skills. Participants will learn how to tie and use key knots, such as the running bowline and alpine butterfly, to ensure safe rigging, climbing, and load control. The course also covers basic tree worker responsibilities, including equipment handling, ground support roles, and effective communication with climbers. Emphasis is placed on safety protocols, proper knot application, and minimizing risks in day-to-day tree care operations.
Class participation includes lunch for all students and 3.75 CEUs for NJ Board of Tree Experts, TCIA and ISA!
